Is This the Dumbest Idea in Tech History?

Seriously, I gotta ask. Are these tech bros actively trying to make the world worse?

The "People Also Ask" Black Hole

So, I'm staring at this "People Also Ask" section. And what am I supposed to do with this? This is the kind of garbage that clogs up search results and pretends to be helpful. It's like asking a magic 8-ball for financial advice.

Who are these "people," anyway? Are they actual humans, or just bots trained to regurgitate the same tired questions? And more importantly, who decided these were the most pressing questions? It's all just algorithms feeding algorithms, a snake eating its own tail in the digital abyss.

I've got a better idea. How about actually asking people what they want? You know, go out into the real world, talk to someone who isn't glued to their phone 24/7. It's a radical concept, I know.

The "Related Searches" Rabbit Hole

And don't even get me started on "Related Searches." Oh, you were looking for information on this? Well, here's a bunch of other vaguely related topics that will suck you into a never-ending vortex of clickbait and misinformation. Thanks, Google!

palantir: What's the Deal?

It's like walking into a library looking for a specific book, and the librarian just throws a pile of random novels at you and says, "Good luck!"

I'm starting to think the whole internet is just one giant distraction machine, designed to keep us scrolling and clicking until our brains turn to mush. But hey, at least the tech companies are making money off our misery, right?

It's all just a big, shiny distraction from the real problems, isn't it? Climate change, income inequality, the impending robot apocalypse… But who cares about that when you can spend hours arguing about the proper way to fold a fitted sheet?

Then again, maybe I'm just being a grumpy old man yelling at clouds. But I doubt it.

So, What's the Real Story?

Look, I get it. Tech companies are trying to be helpful. But sometimes, their attempts at helpfulness just end up making things worse. The "People Also Ask" and "Related Searches" features are prime examples of this. They're annoying, distracting, and ultimately useless. Can't they just leave us alone and let us find what we're looking for? It ain't rocket science.
